Unveiling Love

As an energy, love is omnipresent; it is everywhere. It is the moon, the sun, the oceans, the trees, and flowers. Love is God. It is the very fiber of each and every living entity, but do not think this means that love is not selective; there is nothing that is more selective. As an energy love is for the taking, but as a relationship, it is not. Love will only knock at one’s doorstep but a few times during a lifetime, that is, providing you are very fortunate, and also very prepared. It will not continue to flow on and on as like a river. Only god’s love does that. Human love is not as gracious, or sophisticated. It is conditional, and repetitious, and dependent. So think carefully before you dismantle what used to thrill you, because mortal love is terribly imperfect and not at all promised, which means that the probability of love treating anybody any differently than it did previously, is awfully slim…because while love is a constant influx of change, this is not true of people. Human beings are in the habit of doing things the same way, which is the very reason why love is never written in stone, or guaranteed to us.

Love is like a tremendously beautiful star, sparkling behind a veiled sky; a ubiquitous fragrance for any person’s undertaking, unless of course, there is some other preference.  The generosity of god is the gift of unleashing oneself from whatever stands in love’s way; from whatever bewilderment, or uncertainty, that keeps you from seizing the ocean of love that is calling you.

The Magic of Love

Love is not institutional, it is magical. The way that this can be known is by observing the fact that no institution on Earth resembles love. There is one here or there that pretends to, like marriage or religion, but the truth is that love is magical. It is an experience. So there is no way to institutionalize it. The more people twist love into a commitment, responsibility, duty, function, or obligation, it is apt to suffocate and die because love is freedom. That is how it manages to be magical. When people meet, and they are so beautiful together, the reason why they can naturally ascend in love is because there is no interest in possessing one another; nobody has started to think about commitment or enslavement yet. This is when love feels magical. It is able to breathe, feel alive. Love should not feel like a pretzel, or a puzzle that needs to be figured out. Love is a joy. It is liberation, and also liberating. Love is an emancipation of togetherness. The magic of love is learning how to be alone together, because then you are not addicted or dependent. You are happy with your beloved but you are also happy without him or her, because no matter how the cake is sliced, two people cannot and should not make the attempt to be one. dwp

The Authentic Idiot

Idiots are very special people. They have a charm about them that is rare, and even attractive. Some folks like idiots just because there are so many of them; they are so usual that it is almost unnecessary to learn how to behave with a non-idiot. And there is something else that’s interesting about idiots, which is that as long as you are also an idiot, it may never occur to you that you are surrounded by them. Idiots generally like other idiots. So it is a good idea to keep this in mind when you are sizing up your friends. And idiots can be lovable too. They can have families, and make more idiots just like themselves. Idiots may not be intelligent, but they are very durable people. They have the same interests as everybody else. I once knew an extremely beautiful sexy idiot, who thought it would be fine being idiotic since she was so beautiful. Beautiful idiots are especially unique because their beauty is the condition that causes them to be so idiotic. Idiots are very original too. Sometimes people are only willing to give credit to the wisest of them all, but it isn’t fair. It takes a mind-boggling talent to be mindless, and not every idiot can do it. Because to be a truly successful idiot, you must believe everything. And in order to believe everything, you must never disbelieve anything. And only idiots can do this. It is a very difficult task, non-idiots cannot perform it. Nobody realizes it, but there are many skills that are reserved only for idiots. So let us not be judgmental. Let us not think too critically upon those who might very well be who we ourselves are. dwp 6/16
