In The Long Run

The reason why fear can be defeated is because fear is created; it is only a decision that one makes. In the same way that it comes into one’s life, it can leave. But it is different with hurt because unlike fear, hurt has a creative purpose; just because it doesn’t feel good doesn’t mean it isn’t good. Hurt is as vital and natural as happiness or joy. All things exist as they should. The intent of existence is to guide & prepare us to evolve to greater heights. Hurt is not at all meant to be a disturbance, but rather a friend. When it is interpreted with clarity, it is beneficial. Hurt exists to help people improve themselves, to smooth the rough edges, especially since tough times are so certain. And we must learn from them. It is not easy, but in the long run, I know that I must accept that which is inevitable in life, trusting that hurt is only temporal; and that through it, I will be lifted to tremendously beautiful plateaus. D.Prideaux

The People’s Choice

People live in fear because they are controlled by pain; pain is the master of fear, which is why people will do almost anything to avoid feeling it. Nobody likes fear, but it is more tolerable than pain. If a better option were known, nobody would choose fear, but since it is now so common, it has become the people’s choice. Pain and fear are the two greatest masters; they control every decision that a person makes. Whenever there is a situation, you must first determine if the resolve will leave you safe, because if there is a chance that you will have hurt or pain, you must figure out another plan. Humans are so uncomfortable with hardship that they don’t want to have anything to do with it. They have the idea that life would be better without it, but what they do not understand is that hurt and pain make people strong, and mature. If a person does not experience discomfort, how will they develop? This is why we should never fight with life. Whatever is, is good. When people stop fighting with existence, and how things are, they become the masters of themselves, as well as realizing that nothing ever needs to be under anybody’s control. dwp

The Question of Answers

If you ask a question, you will need to have an answer; and if you ask another question, you will need yet another. The fact is that questions require answers. The moment you ask something, you will not be able to rest until you have the answer. This is the grief and anxiety of the human dilemma: Mind. It is always desiring to know something; to have an answer about this or that, never ever realizing that the moment the answer comes, there is another question. There is no peace, no possibility to relax because there are too many things to know. And if all I am doing is continuously asking and asking, what is the point? Knowledge begins to look over-rated, in that when is there satisfaction? The act of asking and answering questions illustrates how people are perpetually playing with themselves, glued in a grotesque preoccupation of profoundly unimportant matter. The truth is that there are neither questions or answers. There is only reality. And for that which is not real, there is no question. It is the art of diversion, and it works masterfully, but never on the masters. The more you can be diverted, the less you will be at peace, and the less will be your clarity. You cannot know something by asking something. They did not discover that the Earth was round by asking, they realized it when they didn’t come to an end and fall off. So it seems better to simply resign oneself to the natural flow of knowledge; to the awareness that life is the most meaningful teacher, and that the only way to learn about her is to experience her. dwp

Happy Mother’s Day

Mother’s are the goddesses of love; the nurturers, the spirit of sensitivity, and affection. Mothers are tenacious; her strength is in her ability to understand, to find a way to conquer adversity for the well being of her children, even when there is no way. Being maternal is a creative task. It requires adjustment and real flexibility because a child is able to do and or be anything. Children are so full of possibility these days that a mother has to be willing to endorse those possibilities unconditionally. They do this not because it is easy, but because she is a creature of her heart. It is her nature to love. Motherhood fuses and bonds a woman to her children in such a way that they become one. If you are happy, she is happy. When you are good, she is good. Her ultimate concern is that you are healthy and safe. Mothers are God’s source of nourishment; they nurture not only their own biological children, but the entire Earth.

I dedicate this note to my indescribably loving Mom, who has taught me what it means to love, and be loved; that it is not a given, but a gift; and that it is not just a value, but truly valuable. My mother devoted her life to teaching me that love is a treasure. And in so doing, became a beautiful treasure herself.

Thank you Mom, for showing me the way in such a masterful way.

Happy Mother’s Day! I Love You Mom!!! Your son, Douglas
