Hear Hear!

The reason why the news is interesting is because it communicates tragedy, and tragedy is always fascinating, that’s why the worst possible news is the news that sells the best. Every now and then, they stick something in that’ll bring a little smile…something to make you feel good for a minute or two, but the main purpose is to depress you. The psychology is this: that as soon as you become aware of how terrible it is with everything else, how awful it is in everybody else’s life, in everybody else’s country…you will feel better about your own situation. You will think, “well, at least I’m not that fucked up.” It’s very clever. The problem with it is that you never get around to realizing how wonderful your life is because you are always comparing yourself to people that are living in a world of stupidity and ugliness. This is what they mean by propaganda: it is a purposeful act to distribute a biased point of view with the sole intent to mislead the masses. Is TV entertaining? Of course it is! How could it not be? It’s nearly the most unbelievable thing on Earth! Will the news paper keep you occupied while you drink your coffee in the morning? Of course it will, but there’s something they aren’t telling you. These two things will also make you feel like jumping off the nearest bridge. They upset your peace and serenity. They distort and disturb the love in you. They interrupt your clarity, and natural flow. The media provides people with information in exchange for shutting down their intelligence. The sole ambition of media is to dull your right thinking senses. dwp

The Plague of Perplexity

They call evil good, and good evil. We are warned to be weary of men who speak with forked tongues; the problem is that people are no longer able to recognize who they are, or aren’t. We used to be able to do this, but they have not created such an app as yet, so there is no possibility. Just imagine, the time has actually come when people no longer have the skills to distinguish between good and evil. They don’t know which is better: for example, Planned Parenthood, an organization of people devoted to serving the needs of people, or the now indicted criminal for trying to mastermind a mean-spirited, inhumane disgusting plot against them. The people no longer know who’s worse: Trump or his Nazi followers, Palin or her circus believers, or the media and the hype of their admirers. The people are stuck in such a befuddled confusion that it has become difficult to know whether you’d be better off lost, or seeking direction… in a world where so little instruction exists. dwp

The Employee, and The Boss

The problem that people have with love is the notion that relationships and marriages are able to happen without first getting love’s permission. You see, love is the boss, and you are the employee. You cannot have the job unless the boss says so. You must qualify, and demonstrate that you are up for the task. Just because you desire love does not mean you can have it, any more than you can win the lottery simply because you want to. Love is the jackpot, and you must earn it. Love is for the people who are absolutely sincere; who want to totally surrender to it; not to the other, but to the commitment to love. There are too many people who think of love as child’s play, but it isn’t. And that’s why children don’t fall in love. Children are love, but children have little interest in love. Love is an adult thing. It requires maturity. And it also requires knowledge. If you are not knowledgable about love, how can you be in love. There are conditions to living in a realm of love, mostly because it is so superior to most everything else. The responsibility is a huge one, to protect your beloved’s heart. And the ego wants to control of this. And therein lies the dilemma; that love is neither concerned with ego, or control. Love knows not of such silliness, but of its truth, sincerity, and goodness. dwp
